About Us

Meet the Sparklers

Meet the team that makes your life easier! Most cleaning companies call their employees "cleaners." At Sparkling Palaces we do more than just clean - we make your house sparkle! That's why we call the team here "Sparklers." It takes a superior level of cleaning detail and positive attitude in order to become a Sparkler.

We also believe that happy employees do the best work. That's why Sparkling Palaces pays all their Sparklers a living wage, with paid time off, sick pay, health insurance, paid drive time and mileage reimbursement. In addition, we celebrate and encourage a culture of diversity, respect and inclusion.

About Sparkling Palaces

Sparkling Palaces is a woman-owned and locally-run small business founded in 2002 by owner and original "Sparkler," Amy Boggs. Sparkling Palaces specializes in the detailed cleaning of historic Portland homes.

Professional and Detail Oriented

We hire the best cleaners in Portland. All the Sparklers have gone through our rigorous training program, specific to the details of historic homes, so that they can deliver exquisite detailed cleaning on every visit.

Licensed and Insured

All of our Sparklers are fully licensed, bonded and insured. We thoroughly vet, screen and background check every employee. This ensures that the integrity of our staff is of the highest caliber and that you can trust us to deliver consistent, detailed cleaning.

Giving Back

We believe when we do good cleaning, it does good for the community at large! The Sparklers get to pick a different local charity for our monthly donation. See the list of charities we've donated to so far and learn more about these organizations.

Meet the Owner

Sparkling Palaces was founded by Amy Boggs in 2002. Using her eye for detail and her delight in customer service, she found herself perfectly suited for customized house cleaning. Matching her level of detail with the necessity of cleaning historic Portland homes, Amy found her niche. Today, all her Sparklers are trained in this meticulous cleaning system, trusted over the years to be the best in Portland.

...and Charlie!

In her free time Amy is usually seen hiking the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her dog Charlie. He is a regular in the Sparkling Palaces office, always eager to greet the Sparklers with a wagging tail. Amy also enjoys yoga, cooking, meditation, and weight training.

All our Sparklers are pet-friendly and look forward to meeting new pets every day in the homes we clean!

Our Philosophy

Amy has created the kind of company that allows her Sparklers to achieve a work/life balance. We all believe in working hard to delight our clients and then having personal time for friends, family and adventures!

Giving Back

Sparkling Palaces believes in giving back to the community. That's why every month we donate to a local charity. Each charity is specifically chosen by one of our Sparklers to promote what matters most to them.

So far Sparkling Palaces has donated over $2,700 dollars to local charities.
